- Mermaid's Tender Assist Drilling Rig 'MTR-2' achieves 1000 Days of No Lost Time Accidents
Mermaid Maritime Public Company Limited (“Mermaid”) is pleased to announce that its tender assist drilling rig 'MTR-2' has recently achieved 1000 (one thousand) consecutive days of no lost time accidents (NTLA). The 'MTR-2' is currently supporting Chevron's drilling campaign in Indonesia through Mermaid's operations base in Balikpapan. Her sister rig 'MTR-1' has also arrived in Indonesia and is preparing to commence its contract as an accommodation support barge.

'Mermaid Sapphire' has today successfully participated in the historic expedition to the Mariana Trench's lowest point, the "Challenger Deep", which lies 6.83 miles (10.99 kilometers) below the ocean surface, by National Geographic explorer-in-residence James Cameron.
